The Etsch Valley – Summer 2016

The Etsch Valley - Summer 2016

The Etsch Valley "Etschtal" is and Italian mountain valley where the river Etsch flows and was formed by the Etsch glacier in the Ice-age. The valley begins in South Tyrol, passes through Trentino in a North-South direction and finally ends by Verona.

Although the Etschtal officially encompasses the entire course of the river Etsch, the term often refers only to the parts of the valley from Merano to the Bolzano plain and from Trient to Rovereto.
