Ribblehead Viaduct 2013
The Ribblehead Viaduct, built between 1870 and 1874, is a railway bridge across the valley of the river Ribble at the base of the Whernside mountain and in the east of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The viaduct is 32 metres high, 402 metres long, is supported by 24 arches and is slightly curved. It is the longest viaduct along the Settle–Carlisle railway line.
