Robin Hood's Bay 2013
Our "base camp" for majority of our holiday in the north of England was the picturesque fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay on the north-eastern coast, only a few kilometres south of Whitby. The traditional and local name for the village is "Bay Town" and it is not at all certain that Robin Hood was ever there.
In Robin Hood's Bay we had a wonderful holiday apartment in an old, restored, heritage-listed coastguard house - directly on the water's edge with a view across the sea.
